Yorkville is a village in Belmont and Jefferson Counties. The village lies within two Metropolitan Statistical Areas; the Belmont County portion is part of the Wheeling, WV-OH Metropolitan Statistical Area, while the Jefferson County portion of the village is part of the Weirton-Steubenville, WV-OH Metropolitan Statistical Area.
A post office called Yorkville was established in 1867.
Yorkville was a key strategic territory where some of Washington’s Continental Army was stationed.
