Cumberland Trail GS Meeting

Cumberland Trail GS Meeting

February 11, 2019
St. Clairsville Public Library 108 W. Main St.
Cumberland Trail Genealogical Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 11 in the St. Clairsville Public Library’s meeting room, 108 W. Main St., St. Clairsville. The program will be presented by Information Services Librarian, Preston Tedrick. With the help of volunteers, the library has begun the process of scanning local obituaries from 1967 to 1982 and saving them in digital form. This scanning will allow them to be searchable. Tedrick will be using the new scanner to demonstrate the process. If those attending have an item they wish to scan, the librarians will be able to do this as time permits. The library is still seeking volunteers for this scanning. If you are interested in volunteering, contact the library at 740-695-2062. Our program will also feature a presentation by Library Assistant, Falon Weidman on the technology added to the library’s services. These include Kindles and WiFi hotspots that can be borrowed. All CTGS meetings are free and open to the public. Please plan to attend.
